using addblock (uBlock Origin) on youtube

youtube are trying to make it so that adblockers get detected and gives you a pop up that takes a small period of time to skip, telling you why you shouldnt, and why if you really want no ads, you should pay them for that. after ignoring a bunch of these, you get a final warning saying that in the next 3 videos you watch, if you continue using adblock, or dont whitelist the site, it will stop video play entirely. the devs of ublock origin and youtube are currently doing a "duck season, rabbit season" exchange on trying to one up each others preventative measures, so if theyve rolled out the ad blocker blocker to your region, try deleting and re downloading to make sure you have the latest version. going in to the blocker's settings through its own menu that pops up once you click it in the plugins bar. then, click on the filter lists sub menu and make sure "Quick Fixes" is set to ON. THIS IS THE METHOD THAT WORKS AS OF 20th OCT 2023. PLEASE CONSULT WITH THE ACTUAL TEAM BEHIND UBLOCK BEFORE ATTEMPTING THIS. thank u :3
